Each year Christ the King Lutheran joins with Immanuel Lutheran Church in LaVernia Texas for a Congregational Retreat at Camp Chrysalis in Kerrville Texas .  All ages join together for a weekend of food, fun and fellowship.  There is time for crafts, hiking,  canoeing, dominoes, bingo and karaoke.  The weekend finishes with a group worship service at the outdoor chapel down by the creek. 

Each year the church's compete in an Annual Softball Game.

The Congregational Retreat takes place yearly after Easter.
